Gurmeet Chowdhary & wife Debina test Covid positive

Television and film star Gurmeet Chowdhary and his wife Debina have tested Covid positive. Their symptoms are mild and they are recovering at home.

Says Gurmeet, “We have no idea how we got it. But now that we have, we are taking full precautions and we are in quarantine at home. These are very uncertain times and there’s no guarantee of safety .We can only hope for the best.”

Gurmeet is the latest among the personalities in showbiz the world over who have acquired the virus. Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were the first couple from the entertainment world to contract the Coronavirus.

Actors Sayani Gupta, Hussain Dalal, and Rishabh Kapoor starrer short film Shameless is India's official entry for Oscars 2021 in the Live Action Short Film category. The film is written and directed by Keith Gomes. Keith Gomes thanked the cast and crew of the film who are National and Oscar winners. He said he makes films with little funding from family and friends. He said that everyone comes together with loads of love and passion. Gomes said that he couldn’t be more blessed. The short film was released in April last year. It was selected amongst Shaan Vyas' Natkhat , Aditya Kelgaonkar's Sound Proof , Safar, and Trapped .
